Sarah joined Recon Analytics in 2024 as Analyst and Director. She is responsible for delivering actionable consumer insights and analysis in the telecommunications market on a weekly basis.

Prior to being named Analyst and Director, Sarah was a Principal Consultant working directly for executives at Microsoft providing end-to-end business and operations management. She also worked as a Strategy Consultant at Gartner in the Market Analytics Practice developing strategy and go-to-market plans from insights driven from data, primary research, and market projections for Fortune 500 firms.

Sarah currently serves on the Executive Board for the Design Museum of Chicago.

She earned her MBA in Strategy and Finance from Loyola University Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Roger Entner in addition to leading Recon Analytics advises telecom, media, and technology companies on strategic and tactical business issues as well as public policy issues to enable them to compete better in the marketplace. Under Roger’s leadership, Recon Analytics has conceptualized and developed the fastest, largest, and most agile customer insights service available. The Customer Pulse service is available covering consumers and businesses in the telecom, AI, and airline industries in multiple languages and countries.

Before founding Recon Analytics in 2011, Roger was the Senior Vice President, Head of Telecom Research of The Nielsen Company, at the time the largest telecom and overall market research provider in the world. Before that he was Senior Vice President, Communications Sector for IAG Research, Vice President, North American Telecoms for Ovum, and the Director of the Yankee Group’s Mobile Service Provider Practice.

Roger is an expert in the competitive dynamics of the US telecom market and how all the pieces of the telecom operator value chain from infrastructure suppliers, software and device vendors to the customer work together and how they can be optimized. He has a deep understanding of the consumer and business customer trends that drive the telecom industry.

Roger has been at the forefront of telecom industry research and analysis. Roger introduced the concept of Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) to the telecom industry. He developed the concept and first wrote about the mobile handset replacement cycle. He first wrote about the economic impact of the wireless industry on the US economy and pioneered the concepts of the effective price per minute, message, and megabyte.

His research has been cited in six Annual FCC Mobile Wireless Competition Reports to Congress. Roger’s research around wireless market trends and usage patterns has been cited by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, the Department of Defense, and FCC Commissioners as foundational components to formulate the policies of the United States when it comes to wireless. He has testified before the United States Congress on the impact of the wireless industry on the US economy, the demand for spectrum, and issues around the deployment of wireless infrastructure. He’s been widely quoted in most of the premier news outlets around the world.

Roger is the Co-Chairman of the Boston Warburg Chapter of the American Council on Germany. Roger has been an advisor to the National Science Foundation and is on the advisory boards of several start-ups.

Roger received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Organization, from the Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and Master of Business Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, DC and an Honorary Doctor of Science from the Heriot-Watt University.

Rishij Mewada joined Recon Analytics in 2025 as an Analyst. He is responsible for aspects of internal operations, product development, and fundamental analysis.

Prior to joining Recon, Rishij worked as a Private Equity Analyst at Search Fund Accelerator. He was responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and conducting due diligence on industry agnostic companies in the lower-middle market.

He utilizes his wide-ranging functional experience to support Recon Analytics’ client team’s delivery and expand into new verticals.

Rishij graduated in 2020 and earned his master’s degree in neuroscience from Tulane University.

Mitch Klaassen was named Analyst and Director in 2023. He is responsible for B2B product research and development with a focus on telecommunications and technology markets, including Recon’s Business Pulse products delivering the fastest and most agile actionable business insights available.

Prior to Recon Analytics, Mitch worked at Cisco, as a product manager under portfolio strategy. Before Cisco he was a consulting director at Gartner in High-Tech and Telecom practice developing near-term and long-term strategies backed by data through primary research, market analytics and custom forecasting.

Mitch has an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Kansas State University.

Megan Hejja joined Recon Analytics in 2025 as a Director and Analyst. She is responsible for key aspects of Recon Analytics’ core solutions, including survey creation, data cleansing, and processing. Her client-agnostic role allows for neutral, thorough quality assurance and feedback.

She also plays a role in the product development team as Recon expands to new verticals.

Prior to joining Recon Analytics, Megan worked as a Product Manager at TransUnion where she was responsible for managing product development for a team of engineers who developed consumer segmentation and GIS mapping solutions. The product was licensed by Fortune 500 companies across industries including telecom, financial services, and entertainment. Before moving into product management, she held various roles related to this product including product support, consultant and software engineer.

She also worked as a product manager for Credit Union Leasing of America where she facilitated the development and quality assurance for their proprietary lease tracking software.

Megan’s background is in mathematics and software development.  She excels at streamlining business processes and understanding customer needs. She uses her experience in product management and engineering to refine and enhance Recon’s delivery process.

Megan earned her bachelor’s degree from Occidental college where she majored in Mathematics and was awarded the Benedict Freedman Senior Prize for Mathematics.

Joe joined Recon Analytics in 2025 as Analyst and CEO of AI. He leads product development and partnerships for Recon’s AI Consumer and Enterprise Pulse service delivering actionable insights combining both industry expertise, survey experiences, customer preferences, and intent for AI products and services.

Joe is responsible for leading the growth and delivery of Recon’s offerings in AI and Financial Services, researching and analyzing trends impacting the companies in his industry segments.

Before Recon, Joe was a leader in several successful software companies, developing teams and trusted solutions to provide transformative innovation and work simplification on a global scale. Most recently he was CEO at CRMNEXT, supporting growth, convenience and service for over one million bankers, and one billion accounts across large and small FI’s globally.

His prior achievements included the development and successful deployment of mobile banking solutions for 9 of the top 12 US Banks as the Founder of ClairMail before its acquisition by Fiserv, and leadership roles at AppStream, acquired by Symantec, nCUBE acquired by Seachange, Pixion acquired by Drake International and Oracle Corporation.

Joe is the inventor of 27 patents for technologies broadly commercialized and used by both consumers and large enterprises, including mobile banking and the original patents for web-conferencing.

He has spoken regularly at Financial & Technology conferences, has been a contributor to Forbes, a TedX Speaker and has been interviewed by media including American Banker, CU Broadcast and CNN.

Under the Clinton Administration, Joe was honored to be invited to serve as a founding member of the Intergovernmental Technology Leadership Consortium and benchmarked leader in the Council for Excellence in Government, leading innovation in the use of the internet to make our government more efficient and inclusive.

Joe co-founded Fixing.World, a media and technology company redefining the economics of doing-good, delivering incentivized engagement with value that matters. The Trillion Book Gift a digital library for children in 60 languages, is an example of transforming marketing spend into positive community impact while creating increased sales, loyalty and brand equity for companies.

Joe has previously served on the Board of Beyond Differences, providing student-led programs focused on ending Social Isolation for Teens.

Joe has a degree in Economics from University of California Davis.

Jayne Testerman joined Recon Analytics in 2024 as an Analyst and Manager.

Prior to joining Recon, Jayne was a consultant at Neustar where she led analytics projects for household brands across telecom and financial services. Her work focused on translating complex models into actionable strategies— delivering consultative recommendations, developing custom segmentation, and analyzing media performance.

Jayne’s strength lies in translating complexity into clarity. She is involved in every stage of the research process, from developing actionable questions to designing and building intuitive data visualizations that ensure insights are accessible and enduring beyond weekly deliveries. Her commitment to excellence helps shape solutions that are both relevant and responsive to client needs.

Jayne earned her bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from University of San Diego.

Jared Chavez joined Recon Analytics in 2022 and is an Analyst and Manager, bringing his experience in marketing analytics and customer segmentation to provide valuable insights to Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to joining Recon, Jared was an analyst at Neustar, where he had the privilege of collaborating and consulting with renowned organizations, utilizing data-driven insights to elevate market positioning and enhance customer engagement.

Jared’s strength lies in transforming complex data into compelling stories, with his primary expertise in crafting visualizations that highlight actionable insights. He is driven by the mission to translate intricate data into accessible, impactful insights that drive strategic success for corporations.

Jared holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Data Analytics from Chapman University.

Jake Hawkridge joined Recon Analytics in 2023 as a Director and Analyst with a primary focus in the B2B Telecommunications market where he assesses companies’ satisfaction and needs from current and potential providers as well as for solution-based offerings.

Jake initially joined Recon Analytics’ Telecom Business Pulse team and played a prominent role in the weekly development and delivery of Recon’s Business Telecom Pulse study which speaks to over 25,000 business decision makers and influencers per year regarding their companies’ preferences and intentions with their mobile and broadband services. Currently, he is leading one of the company’s telecom consumer client teams.

Jake analyzes the results of each weekly study to provide guidance to clients on what they can immediately do to increase their standing in the marketplace as well as what they can expect in the near and long-term future.

Prior to joining Recon Analytics, Jake spent 10 years at Neustar in various roles across client success and consulting organizations. Jake led project deliveries for a range of Fortune 100 clients spanning multiple industries, including telecommunications and financial institutions.

Jake brings deep subject matter expertise in consumer segmentation, multi-touch attribution, and marketing mix models. He leverages his expertise to bring valuable insight, recommendations, and solutions to Recon’s clients.

Jake holds a bachelors from Whittier College where he double majored in Political Science and Sociology and completed a Fletcher Jones research fellowship.

XJ Wang was named Analyst and Director in 2024. He is responsible for new product development and expansion in existing markets, new verticals, and international markets, such as Spanish Survey, Device Pulse, and Airline Survey.

Prior to being named Analyst and Director, XJ worked as Director of Business Development at Counterpoint Research, focusing on automotive sector business development. He previously served as Sr. Manager & Local Fiber Market Lead at Lumen, leading fiber sales in Oregon and SW Washington. XJ was also VP and GM of the China business for Vesta Corp, establishing commercial relationships with China Telecom and China Unicom. At WiMAX Forum, he was Sr. Director of Global Marketing, overseeing marketing, PR, events, website, membership sales, and training. Earlier, XJ was a research director at Yankee Group and Ovum.

XJ has extensive experience in the telecom and technology industry and expertise in developing and executing sales strategies, driving business growth, and expanding market presence.

XJ earned his Master of Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication from Chongqing University of Post & Telecom in Chongqing, China.

XJ is fluent in English and a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.

Don Kellogg is President and Analyst at Recon Analytics, where he leads product research, development, and data strategy for the firm’s portfolio of products. Under his leadership, Recon has built and launched the industry’s fastest and most agile consumer and B2B research platforms, which deliver actionable insights in days rather than the months typical of traditional market research.

Before joining Recon, Don was a Principal at Neustar, overseeing major telecom engagements, including Neustar’s largest identity and segmentation initiative and multi-touch attribution projects with leading wireless carriers. He also held roles at Nielsen, where he served as a spokesperson for telecom research and authored and contributed to studies featured in The Economist, Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, Fierce Wireless, and more.

Don is a founding board member of the Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment in Oakland, CA.

Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of California, Chico.
